Have you always been curious to learn how to dive with a bottle and still have not dared?

Most people do not decide to dive for three reasons:

Fear, mistrust or respect.
They see it as inaccessible. How to start diving?
They believe that in Spain it will not be worth diving.

The first reason is the most common, everyone has a certain insecurity when thinking about going down many meters and breathing underwater.

Recreational diving is one of the safest sports due to its great insistence on safety. It’s easier for something to happen to you while running than diving.

In our diving center we make sure that your experience is gradual, always starting with a detailed explanation, then an en

trance to the sea in an area where you walk or in a swimming pool so that you gain confidence. Once you have spent those minutes of nervousness, it is when you really experience the incredible sensation of weightlessness and you will be able to gradually descend to more depth accompanied by a diving monitor, always making sure that you can safely rise to the surface.

Astronauts practice scuba diving before going into space because it is the closest thing to being in zero gravity.

There are other people who do not want to dive, because they say they have tried it with the lung (in apnea) and their ears have hurt a lot. As in any activity, if you do not have the right knowledge you will not do it correctly and safely.

There is pressure under the water, called hydrostatic pressure, and we have air in the ear canals. If you go down to depth quickly and without compensation, the pressure change will make your ears hurt. There are several ways to compensate the ears, but the most effective is the Valsalva maneuver.

It consists of pinching your nose with your fingers and blowing through your nose, in this way the internal pressure of the ear will be compensated with the external and will not hurt. When we dive, we always go down very slowly and it is very easy to carry out this maneuver. However, in apnea you drop much faster, therefore, it will always be more difficult for you.

Here you can see the reviews of the diving centers, both positive and negative, of people who have already tried it. This is very useful both for diving and for choosing a good restaurant or hotel. I always go on a trip and I do not know the place well, I use it and if it has many positive comments it almost never disappoints.

When we talk about respect, it will always be a positive thing. In recreational diving there are hardly any accidents and the few that there are due to negligence. That is why it is very important to follow the recommendations of your monitors and always go with professionals.

Years ago I did not even think about diving in Spain. Whenever I imagined diving, it was on some Caribbean beach. But it turns out that diving is quite accessible in Spain since we are one of the European countries with the most diving centers. For the simple reason that we are surrounded by water.

It must also be taken into account that the regulation and quality controls in Spain are more exhaustive than in other non-European countries. Therefore, training and security tends to be better, although there are exceptions.

To start diving you have two ways:

Diving baptism

A diving baptism consists of a contact with diving, where the monitor will give you an explanation of how the equipment works, safety procedures, what you are going to do and what you can see.

You will experience the sensation of breathing underwater and you will see the wonderful underwater world, feeling like another fish, as well as bringing you an unforgettable memory.iniciarte en buceo

I studied marine biology and have always been fascinated by the sea. When I took this course I could no longer stop training and continue learning until I became a professional. I am currently the owner of Dive Academy Santa Pola and I have managed to make my hobby become my profession.

Spain is the second European country with the largest protected marine area. This means that year after year we are enjoying an increase in marine life. This is because fishing is limited and can only be done with specific gear and without exceeding the stipulated quotas.

We are lucky to be right in front of the island of Tabarca that
