Rescue Diver (2/3 days)
This course takes you one more step up the PADI ladder. Up to this point you have learnt how to look after yourself and the basic information on how to look after others.
Now we are going to teach you how to not only make sure that you are safe, but also be able to recognise and give another person help if they need it.
We start off with a short DVD which will give you the basic information you will need for the course. Then we will spend the rest of the day in confined water teaching you all the separate parts of self help rescue and to rescue others. After we have shown you all the separate parts of the rescue, we will then put it all together and make a full rescue from the bottom of the pool to the surface, then give rescue breaths whilst towing and removing both your equipment and the victims.
On the second day we will make 4 scenarios in the sea where you will get the change to put all that you have learnt to the test. During the course you will also be shown how to make different types of search’s for missing divers. This is a real fun course, with a serious side and you will find it very rewarding!!
On completing the course you will receive a certificate from PADI, which states that you have completed a Rescue Diver Course.
You will also receive a temporary card to take home with you, until you receive your licence by post to your home address.
